Department Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Each year our department awards over 150 scholarships to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in civil, architectural and environmental engineering.
The university offers a wide variety of aid and scholarships to new students. Scholarship programs are available to U.S. citizens and will vary in amount based on your state of residency, GPA, academic record, etc.
Department scholarships are funded by gifts from alumni and friends of the department, as well as through a number of other associations and organizations. Students who have declared a major in civil, architectural or environmental engineering can fill out a general application through AcademicWorks. This system will search a database and recommend awards and scholarships for which you are eligible. You may be entered into the applicant pool automatically or you may need to answer additional questions. Continue to check the system as new scholarships become available periodically.
Deadlines are generally during the spring semester. A committee reviews each submitted application to determine eligibility and makes scholarship awards.

There are several ways to finance your graduate education including fellowships, teaching and research assistantships, employer support and loans. Most S&T students pay for graduate school with a combination of these forms of financial support, but the combination often varies by degree and level.
